May was spent preparing for Greece and the conference. Not much time for fun reading, sadly.

Dark Currents by Jacqueline Carey - I thought I'd give her another chance, since I love her Kushiel series something fierce. This series is cute, fluffy, and quite silly, but a nice light read.
Lost Lives, Lost Art: Jewish Collectors, Nazi Art Theft, and The Quest for Justice by Melissa Muller and Monica Tatzkow - I wanted a book to brush up my knowledge on restitution issues before the conference. Apparently I chose well, as it ended up on the recommended reading list.

Movies
The Three Musketeers (2011) - ridiculous, just ridiculous.
Hollywoodland (2006) - based on a true story, it was an interesting detective-style movie. It took me a while to figure out their flashback sequences though.
Coco avant Chanel (2009) - I've been wanting to watch this for years but absolutely wanted to see it in French. Good thing too, I couldn't have taken a lot of these characters seriously in English. That said, their France French was a bit hard for me to understand at times, and the characters were hard to relate to, but a good bio-pic.

Other
John Ruskin: Artist & Observer exhibit at the NGC - beautiful work, I can't tell if I loved the architectural drawings or the landscapes more. I was eager to buy a print at the gift shop afterward but sadly they didn't have any... It definitely encouraged me to take that botanical illustration class this summer, however.
Charles Edenshaw exhibit at the NGC - lovely artwork, I've always particularly loved West-Coast native art. The miniature totem poles were fabulously intricate.
