or i may have committed homicide this morning. for future reference, 7:30am on a Sunday is a very quiet time everywhere but my apartment. i know this, as i left to escape the Demon-Spawnlings at that time (they're still going, but in one minute bursts every 5 minutes or so as opposed to constant - bass-heavy music on my heavy-duty earphones dulls them a bit). walked through Terracotta, did some errands, and reluctantly crawled back. discovered the credit limit on my credit card is higher than i thought, so am now toying with the idea of splurging on a new bike. but am resigned to getting a tirepump first and checking to see if the tires on my current bike'll live thru another summer. somehow, i doubt it.
weather and father-figure permitting, SG and I plan on escaping the city next weekend for a quiet few days of camping. prob'ly at Mount Orford park, as it's the opposite direction from the blackflies. it'll be nice to get out just the two of us, i think.
hunh. i'm actually looking forward to going to work...

1) what is your very best childhood memory and who/what is it associated with?
* starting with the hard one, aren't you? i guess i'll have to go with riding my bike down the VERY hilly road to the racetrack with my two best friends in Tremblant. The day was gorgeous, the ride was great because you could get just enough speed going down one hill to make it up the next, and the wind was blowing in my hair. These two friends didn't live there; one stayed with his grandmother for the summer, the other had a summer house in Tremblant but actually lived in Ontario.
2) what kind of music can touch you the most at any given time (as opposed to situational music/events), and why?
* anything with particularly strong female vocals (ie: Evanescence, Delerium's vocal stuff, lots of ethereal music). they evoke something in me that i usually can't reach by myself. shivers up the spine and all that.
3) If you could change the world in one way, through your own actions, how would you go about it?
* i honestly have no idea. i can't see myself affecting the world at large no matter what i do. there are many things i'd like to see change, but i'm so practical that i realize things are this way for a reason, and it's nearly impossible to change people who don't want to be changed.
4) What would your dream house be like? Located where?
* I'd like a house on the very edges of the Montreal suburban area. I love Montreal, but i'd like something with woods. Definately lakefront property, with a dock. The house would be large, with 3 storeys, but not huge. Victorian design, with more than one tower and a huge balcony or two. Skylights, huge windows, a fireplace, outdoor hottub and inground pool, large garden with a gazebo, and japanese lanterns. The master bedroom would have two floors; a studio on the top floor with hardwood floors. overall, something i can adapt and design to suit my needs, and change at a whim.
5) If you could be any one animal, which would you pick, and why?
* a falcon, i think. i'd love to be able to fly, they have very few natural predators, and the freedom of it would be wonderful.
