okay, i'm bored, i admit. so here's a list of the 5 songs by bands no one but me (& 'fana) have ever heard of that i'm currently listening to. most of this stuff's a l'il weird, to say the least, but give it a try if you like anything strange! my only requirement is a good voice...
1) Beborn Beton - "Another World" -- currently a major hit at goth clubs, it's got a techno-y beat and interesting lyrics.
2) Kidneythieves - "Feathers (touched and forgotten remix)" -- becoming more popular due to their inclusion on the Queen of the Damned soundtrack, definately a great band
3) Lacuna Coil - "Purify" -- prob'ly my favorite band, everything off their latest album is great. female vocals on an almost-heavy-metal guitar
4) Scratching Post - "Nothing Left to Die For" -- lead singer has a very distinctive voice, works well with the happy-metal sound
5) Kristy Thirsk - "Run Away" -- her voice is just amazing. some of you may recognize her as the singer on most of the earlier Delerium stuff (mostly from the Karma album, though she's done other stuff with 'em). she's struck out on her own, though no cd as yet, only bootlegs and a cd she distributed while out on tour (somewhere in the lower US, unfortunately)
