There was a sigh and a soft thud behind him.

Please recommend a book (not necessarily Pratchett) that I simply must read. I asked a similar question of Erika and I really enjoyed her recommendation.

if you like fantasy, read "Kusiel's Dart" by Jacqueline Carey
if you like teen novels, read "A Great & Terrible Beauty" by Libba Bray or "Trickster's Choice" by Tamora Pierce
if you're in the mood to try something interesting & historical, try "Lady of Hay" by Barbara Erskine
