Fate strikes again...
Jan. 6th, 2004 01:08 pmand the semester would not be complete without my usual Anthropology dance. i walk in, i sit down, the teacher walks in, i get up, i drop the course. *sigh* i swear, she follows me. every single TBA class ends up being her. i think they're afraid to put her name down as the teacher for fear the classes will be avoided. gods know, i'm not the only one who can't stand the woman. not only can't she teach, she also takes attendance, favors group projects and oral presentations, and wants us to write journal entries of 5-7 pages twice a week. nope. sorry. not friggin' happening.
*grumble growl* so now i have 3 remaining choices, all of which look about as interesting as a week spent studying the growth of my toenails. my #1 option so far is People and Cultures of Sub-Saharan Africa (can you say, oh my?), simply because it happens to fit into that break i have on wednesday afternoons. my other two options are either Urban Regions (looks ok, but would leave me with 2 5 hour breaks in a week instead of one) or Religions in the 21st century, which is a level higher than i need (and therefore is not only more work, but requires getting various permissions and exemptions from the department to replace the one i actually need.) none of these looks appealing in the slightest, but i can live through them. i'm very resilient. (which, by the way, should demonstrate the exact depths of my hatred for this teacher).
so, step 1: attend option #1 tomorrow, and hope i can muster enough interest to pass it. step 2: register for the exit exam next friday. step 3: pray.
