was feeling pretty bad this morning when i woke up, but it went away. now i feel terrible. *sigh* stupid body has managed not to be sick so far, why can't it just tough out the rest? i can't afford to be sick; i have an exam tomorrow. *swigh*

on an even better note, my computer, despite the new harddrive, refuses to accept it's new status as a new-and-improved-frankenstein. instead, it's decided to give me error messages, and randomly stall. i cannot respond to LJ posts from my hotmail account, for example. it doesn't like that. nor does it like opening Word, or Kazaa (well, i can understand not liking Kazaa. I don't like Kazaa either, but it's a necessary evil).

*thuds head on desk* i CAN'T be SICK! *wails*

Kazaa makes any interface where I type crash. I only run it when I wander off, etc.

Otherwise, reboot and leave it off, and you should be ok?

Mmmmm...

How much ram you got on The Beast?

umm... well.... i don't really know. SG takes care of the hardware, and i take care of the software. i know it's not enuf though. the RAM, motherboard, and CPU are all on the near-future purchases list.

Aaah.! Those purchases should indeed settle the memory/programs issues, at least...

Don't worry sweetie. We'll both be well and cheering each other up on our week off. Really. I promise. Chocolate?

chocolate. *nods firmly* chocolate....

Kazaa lite seems much more stable (to my system anyway)... and comes without the spyware. If you aren't already using it, you may consider switching.

*ponders* hmm. i had completely forgotten about Kazaa lite... *runs off to download* it can't be much worse than the original, right?

You have my sympathies.

If you want, we can go out over the week off. You can have some chocolate, and I can watch you eat the chocolate. Then I can gouge my eyes out, for having watched you eat chocolate.

unfortunately, this weekend is pretty full. possibly next week though, as we've got our week off... of course, i might be working 2 night shifts in the middle of the week, but that can be ignored (or worked around -- breakfast, anyone?)

i think our computers might be related. frankenstein and son of frankenstein perhaps. mine doesn't tend to eat files...so far at least, but it does make weird beeping noises for no reason sometimes and turns the display on the screen weird shapes and weird colors and starting it up is often the equivalent of knowing some complicated secret handshake for getting into a club. but hey, at least they have personality right? hope you feel better soon!

personality, hunh? well, i could do without it. or it could use mood-altering drugs. either or.

Just keep a hammer on top of the computer's case. Call the hammer 'mood altering drug'.

i've tried that. SG's sword used to sit right by my comp. it doesn't care.
