luncheon

i just went to lunch with my former boss. we talked Warcraft the whole time, and he told me (when he could get his breath back from laughing) that his friends had asked him if i had any sisters, cause, OMG, she's a GAMER CHICK.

i'm still snickering under my breath. that's twice now that people have marvelled at the combination of my gender and gamer-ness. considering that half the people i know are gamers and, while i do tend to know more guys than girls, most of the girls are gamers as well, this strikes me as entertaining.

so it's not that there aren't many gamer chicks: it's just that we're very insular, and don't think you're worth knowing. *laughs some more*

i wanna play WoW. i'm in one of those intensive gaming moods - except that i have things to do, people to celebrate - which will undoubtedly be more fun than WoW anyway (Happy Birthday neotrixan/Amadeius/you there!)- , and a website to put together by the weekend that i'm not nearly anywhere done. yarg.
