quick update
Dec. 8th, 2005 10:12 amthings have been a little hectic lately. i'm back at my old store for the Holidays starting next week, so it's a mad dash to finish everything up here before i go. and while i'm excited to be going back to the old store, it also feels like a giant step backwards - like i failed and was demoted, since so far i've only been treated exactly as before by the managers there. well, at least the manager i dislike. i can't really expect them to change, after all, but i'd like to think that my promotion counts for something... anything... it's disillusionment at it's best.
i picked THIS up on a whim - it's starting to show it's age (it was first aired in 1990) and it was quite obviously not distributed by, well, a real distributor, but that's alright. it makes me laugh, especially when i see good old Emperor Fred (whom i named my mount after in WoW, by the way) and hear the really bad puns.
been busy wrapping presents and generally dealing with everyday life. i'm meeting with a bank advisor tonight to change banks (since Royal Bank absolutely insists of giving SG the Royal Runaround and making his life generally miserable, and it's just easier if we both have the same bank) and trying to cope with all the stuff that needs to be done (next step in ant extermination: caulking!). it's a busy week, even though i feel like i've done nothing.
that's about it, folks. nothing new and exciting happening here. i'm currently reading A Woman in Berlin. this all ties in to my revived need for historical borderline-feminist litterature. excerpts will follow soon.
