as things stand now, with present income/expenses, SG & i can, if we try really hard, have the credit cards paid off by end of March.

we can also get financing on a car by the beginning of summer.

we can have enough for a downpayment on a small house in 3-5 years ($10,000).

this makes me feel a little better. just a little, though. things go wrong so very easily.
