serenity and a nervous twitch

i'm not up to words right now. eventually, i'll start to speak again, but for now, i say, buy this book! "Finding Serenity: Anti-Heroes, Lost Shepherds, and Space Hookers in Joss Whedon's Firefly" it's worth it, trust me (though i have yet to buy my own copy - the one i'm reading is borrowed from work). contributors included Jewel Staite (Kaylee), Mercedes Lackey, Tanya Huff, Larry Dixon, Joy Davidson (yes, the sex therapist), and many more.
there's good writing: "[Mal] wears his accountability like the uniform he thinks he left behind." - Mercedes Lackey, "Serenity & Bobby McGee"
and there's great writing: Roxanne Longstreet Conrad's "Mirror/Mirror: a Parody" imagines the unlikely situation of Enterprise and Serenity switching places, and decides that the crew of Serenity would have taken over the known Trek'verse within a handful of years.
and that's all i've got to say. so there. =p
