a hurricane comes wetly.
Aug. 31st, 2005 12:47 pma power outage (cause unknown) plunged Place Montreal Trust (and my store) into total blackness this morning before 8am. i left at 10:30am, when they told us it'd be back up around 1pm. no point in sticking around that long. maybe i'll actually have something to do tomorrow now. =)
but sitting in the cafe of the store in the dark, illuminated only by the outdoor light and watching the *@($& idiots using the elevators (we were taking bets on how long before the generators that ran them gave up - they're glass elevators, so we figured we were in for quite a show), it was relaxing and calm. and now the rain is pouring outside, making me nervous about my a/c unit, which has already had to be reinsulated - but it'd make even more of a mess if i were to pull it in now that it's soaked through.
an afternoon off will give me a chance to catch up on all those things i've been meaning to do.
:: Edit ::
the power came back at 4:30pm.
