1 :: Total number of books owned?
somewhere around 5000 (mostly fantasy, with maybe 100 history books, several dozen reference books, and maybe 100 manga and comics)
2 :: The last book I bought?
(books should never be bought on their own)
Mad Maudlin, Mercedes Lackey & Rosemary Edghill (latest in the Bedlam's Bard series)
Cesar, Max Gallo (french biography of Julius Caesar)
Assassin's Apprentice, Robin Hobb (just cause everyone keeps telling me to read it)
3 :: The last book I read?
Marie Antoinette: la Dame de la Riviere Rouge, Pauline Gill (historical Quebecois)
4 :: 5 books that mean a lot to me?
The Rowan, Anne McCaffrey - i first read this in high school. it was my introduction to sci-fi and fantasy, and i've probably read it over 20 times. it's my comfort book.
Bitten, Kelley Armstrong - by far the best werewolf novel i've read, and i've read LOTS.
Tapestry of Dark Souls, Elaine Bergstrom - part of the Ravenloft series. my introduction to werewolf stories, and another book i devoured over and over again in high school.
In Conquest Born, C.S. Friedman - a masterpiece of character interaction.
Lady of Hay, Barbara Erskine - first lent to me by my uncle's 2nd wife, a woman i greatly admired and was striving to connect with. to a high school student with severe occult leanings, it was a revelation.
5 :: Favorite children's book? (changed from the original, it just made no sense before)
i can't even remember the name of it, but it's in a box somewhere in the back of my closet. the story of a blind princess in a field, and a little peasant boy who brings her strawberries.
