updatey.

i know, i haven't been updating. been looking for something meaningful to say, and not coming up with much. last day of school today (for real, this time), exam on thursday. i'm not going to get very good grades this semester, no siree. but at least it's over (or almost).

i've lost the ability to wrap my brain around theory and stuff. or maybe it's just that i don't care. it's not that i don't understand, its just that my brain dismisses it as completely unimportant. i'm sorry, i just have little to no interest in which band societies are in contradiction of Hobbes' theory of all versus all, or Service's stadialistic views of how a society evolves from a tribe to a chiefdom. blah.

i miss history. i miss classics. it's been a long, long time since i've been able to discuss anything i've learned with anyone at all. i don't blame my friends: i get long-winded and preachy when talking about classics with someone who, understandably, has no such interest. but to talk with someone who actually understands or, gods forbid, is INTERESTED in the subject... would be sublime.

i wanna do more genealogy. i know nothing, nothing at all, but that's alright. i think at the end of the summer i'm going to go volunteer at the Pointe-Claire genealogical society; they were looking for people earlier this year but i just don't have the time just yet.

well, off to read more useless stuff about bands and tribes in Africa...
