it's been a while...

my first class was cancelled this morning, which is a good thing, since i noticed i'm very, very screwed for this paper i'm supposed to be writing. spending the day in the library seems to have unhinged my brain a little. *twitch*

no Passeport for me last night, due to sudden attack of general unwellness. probably not next week either, as i'll be researching/reading madly for the paper. thank the gods i thought to take a day off work to actually WRITE the darned thing...

other than that, not much going on over here. still waiting for things to decide themselves, still biding my time about quitting Chapters. until i find something else, i'm pretty much stuck, and since i'm not going to start looking til after my vacation, i'll be there a bit longer. ah well. at least it's money coming in, and guaranteed hours. i can definately use the money... stupid consumer economy.

i saw a woman driving a taxi today. it had never occured to me before: i've NEVER seen a female taxi driver. ever. what blew me away wasn't so much that she was female, but that i'd never noticed the lack of female taxi drivers before. i mean, there are a ton of female bus drivers, and i've seen a couple of female truck drivers, but taxis? *meh* that's just my moment of the day.

alright, off to do more reading. *and there were was much rejoicing*
