holidays make for cranky customers. and then we wonder why we hate Xmas so much? got a real a**hole today; don't even wanna talk about it. i'm done whining about work (at least for now). grin and bear it, learn to swallow your pride, you are a sheep, let everything roll off you like water, don't take it personally, you're too headstrong, think before you speak, and other such nonsense that i'm trying to take to heart. it's a bitter pill to swallow, and i'm really very bad at evaluating how things i say will affect the people around me. or, more accurately, how i say them. overcompensating for the inner child quivering in the corner, i suppose. to me, it's always been a matter of standing up for myself or letting myself be walked all over. no contest, really, despite which one'd be easier. either way, i can't win.
i'm jaded. i'm tired. my eyes, as usual, hurt (i'm going to call the optometrist tomorrow to complain. "you'll get used to them," they say. *glare* they lie...)
enough of this. off to read... well, anything other than school stuff.
