the cold i've been repressing for the past 2 weeks has finally caught up to me. i HATE being sick. my sinus congestion has moved down to my lungs and chest, and i now have a sore throat to boot. i can't sleep, i can't eat, swallowing at all hurts (yet the only thing i can do to make it go faster is drink lots of liquids!!). i tried to go to bed an hour ago. didn't quite work, i'm afraid. don't think i'll be sleeping much tonight. maybe i'll try again at some stupid hour of the morning, when i can't keep my eyes open and might actually pass out despite the discomfort. blah.

can someone make this go away, please? (in case you haven't noticed, i'm a very bad patient).

so, since i'm sick and doing ANYTHING makes me wanna die, i've been playing Lineage II. started a new character, a human fighter. man, but this game is human-oriented. the elf fought with the keltir. the human slaughters them. that, and there are FIELDS of prey out there. elves have to actually HUNT...

okay, i'll stop now. back to being miserable...

i feel like the walking dead, but if i stay in this apartment one more hour, i'll go mad. mad, i tell you. MAD!!! *insane giggle* some of this could stem from having rented and watched The Hours this afternoon. very good movie, but the amount of insanity in there is enough to contaminate even the sanest person. now, if you start out already unbalanced... *twitch*

see, this is why i had difficulty getting into Lineage the first time. for the first several weeks, all you do is kill the same monsters over and over again. they never drop anything fun or exciting, they all look the same, and in the lower levels, you're killing cute, not-quite-defenseless animals. they've even got bunny rabbits in this one! i have to steel myself every time i go after a wolf...
