Apparently, despite all the million things I got done, I also read a lot and saw a good number of movies... When did I learn to fold time, exactly?

Books
Challenges by Sharon Green (reread) - and this is why I like to reread books every once in a while. The writing style, which I no doubt enjoyed when I was a teen, was stilted and preachy, so it's another stack of books I can cull from my shelves.
Betrayals by Sharon Green (reread)
Prophecy by Sharon Green (reread)
Intrigues by Sharon Green (reread)
Deceptions by Sharon Green (reread)
Destiny by Sharon Green (reread)
Chroniques de Jérusalem by Guy Delisle - just what I needed to start to understand the conflicts in Israel & Palestine. The author chronicles his life in various locations around the world (in this case, Jerusalem). His wife is posted in unsettled political areas for her job and the author follows, along with their two young children. In graphic novel form, he gives his impressions of the cultures, the people, the climate, and daily life. He tries to make sense of politics and religion, and in the end evokes a powerful feeling of what it's like to be a stranger in an unsettled climate.
The Pianist by Wladyslaw Szpilman - I'd seen the movie years ago, but I picked this up in a used bookstore in New Orleans on a whim. The first-hand account was written right after the war (as opposed to most people who tell their story only decades later), and comes across as a little shocked and withdrawn. The diary of the German who helped Szpilman was particularly affecting... as well as finding out that he had helped others in the same way.

Movies
The Avengers (2012) - oh, Joss Whedon, I bow down to you.
Thor (2011) - because after seeing the Avengers, I thought I might actually care about the characters. Well, I was wrong. Thor was boring, so boring.
Captain America (2011) - actually better than Thor. And since I draw the line at the Hulk, this is as close as I get to seeing all the movies (I did rewatch Iron Man 1 and 2 though, since I love that particular character).
The Heart of Auschwitz (2008) - because it was about time I saw the documentary partially filmed in our museum. A beautiful story, I'll admit I had a tear in my eye by the end. Also, fun to see my boss looking so much younger and hearing some of the guides that are still around...
Kundun (1997) - one of those movies I always meant to get around to. Visually interesting, though very, very slow-paced.
